Adean Pipes, 86, of Ferriday, LA, passed away peacefully on Aug. 22, 2026, at Garden Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, Mt. Beulah BC, Ferriday, LA, with Pastor Larry Andrews officiating.

Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, Cotton Cemetery, 3085 Jerusalem Rd., Liberty, MS, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 6PM at the funeral home.

Dean was born to Alex Pipes, Jr. and Doris Robinson Pipes on Apr. 8, 1940, in Liberty, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deloris Weatherspoon Pipes; his siblings, Leontyne, Alex III, Melvin, Willis Knighten "WK" Pipes.

While Dean has departed this earthly life, his legacy lives on in his children; Terrance Pipes, Sr., Trisha Wallace, her husband Glen, Shaterika Melancon, all of Shreveport, LA, Sylenthia Dixon, her husband Scottie, of Baton Rouge, LA; his siblings, Lillie Pipes Hollingsworth, Liberty, MS, Ransom Pipes, Killeen, TX; grandchildren, Jordan Wallace, Brandon Kurlakowsky, Terrance Pipes, Jr., Jakyren Pipes, Ladarrius White, Jakayla, Key'rhya and Akeem Melancon, Talamthia and Scottie Dixon, Jr.; Tammy Kurlakowsky, who holds a special place in our family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
