Alberta Washington Schiele, age 77, of Ferriday, LA, passed away peacefully on Dec. 3, 2025.  She was born on Aug. 6, 1948, Natchez, MS, to the late George  and Audrey Clark Washington and departed this life at the Camelot Leisure Living Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be held at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday, LA, Friday, Dec. 12, 2025  at 9:00 AM until service time beginning at 11:00am. She will be interred beside her husband, Theodore  Schiele at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS.  Services are entrusted to Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Carla Washington; five brothers, Roscoe Washington, Richard Washington, Sylvester Washington, James Washington, Ricky Thomas; two sisters, Rosie Etter, Katherine McNully.

Alberta was deeply family oriented and found the greatest joy in the company of her loved ones.  Leaving to cherish the loving family memories are three sons, Paul Schiele (Rosalind) of  Ridgecrest, LA, Eric Schiele (Tericka) of  Baton Rouge, LA, Theodore Schiele (Wendy); two step-sons, Lonnie Stacker (Corintha) all of San Antonio, TX, Darren Schiele of  San Jose, CA; two daughters, Suzette Boston (John) of Austin, TX, Shalonda Schiele of Baton Rouge, LA; two step-daughters, Linda Edwards (L.J.) of  Ferriday, LA, Monique Jones of  Dallas, TX; one brother, George Washington (Idella) of  Columbia, MS; four sisters, Doretha Thomas of  Vidalia, LA, Novella Turner, Lucille Boxley (Charles), Dorothy Poole; two aunts, Alphaon Bowser (James), all of Ridgecrest, LA, Addie Neal (Charles) of Baton Rouge, LA; one uncle, Huey Washington (Ida Mae) of Houston, TX; twenty grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
