Funeral services for Alberta Martin Shorter, 63, of Ferriday, LA will be held Friday March 31, 2018 at 11:00am from the Kingdom Living Ministries, 203 Doty Road (Old Doty Road Church of God)  in Ferriday. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery with Minister Kelly Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shorter, daughter of Clarence, Sr. and Alberta Richardson was born in Ferriday and died at Heritage Manor Health & Rehab in Ferriday.

She is survived by three sons, Terry Lee Martin and his wife, Nicole of Houston, TX; Andrew Lee Martin and his wife, Cynthia of Pine Bluff, AR; Johnny Martin of Natchitoches, LA; two daughters, Linda M. Hillard and her husband Albert of Pine Bluff, AR; Alma Anderson and her husband, Minister Kelly Anderson of Aurora, CO; four brothers, Clarence Martin, Jr. of Foules, LA; Thomas Martin of Huntsville, TX; Robert Martin of Ferriday and Willie Martin of Waterproof, LA; three sisters, Mary Ann Knoten of Clayton, LA; Sherry Ann Banks and Diane Martin both of Ferriday; fifteen grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
