Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta W. Strong, 80, of St. Joseph, LA will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00pm from Pilgrim Baptist Church in St. Joseph. Burial will follow at the Panola Cemetery in St. Joseph with Rev. Anthony Watson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Strong, daughter of Ed and Beatrice Williams Williams was born in St. Joseph and died at her residence following a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sisterhood Club of St. Joseph. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Moses Strong; two children, Gregory Strong and Patricia A. Strong.

Left to cherish her precious memories are: four sons, Thomas Williams and his wife, Arma; Alex Williams and his wife, Charmetta; Clay Foster and his wife, Fannie; Henry Williams all of St. Joseph; six daughters, Renae Williams, Beatrice Williams, Ethel Strong, all of St. Joseph; Alberta Washington and her husband, Elgin of Baton Rouge, LA; Yvonne Taylor and her husband, Keith of Slidell, LA; Ruthie Mae Brown and her husband, Odell of Monroe, LA.

Also one sister, Alberta Ross Jones and her husband, Scott of Tallulah, LA; eighteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
