Funeral services for Mrs. Albertina Dawkins, 97, of Anderson, IN, formerly of Monterey, LA will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 10am from the Doty Road Church on Third Street in Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Doty Road Church Cemetery in Ferriday.

Mrs. Dawkins, daughter of Arthur and Zula Lewis, was born in Monterey, LA and died at the Community Hospital in Daleville, IN.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her daughter, Carolyn Tolliver and numerous siblings. She is survived by one sister, Sarah Allumn of St. Louis, MO and one brother, Rev. Joe Lewis of Ferriday; her children, Jean Morehead, Pam Jackson of Anderson, IN; Mack Tolliver, Flora Williams, Beverly Harding, Dewayne Tolliver all of Louisiana; Faye Steele, Elizabeth Parker, Lucille James all of Chicago, IL; bonus daughter, Sharon Buchanan; 40 grandchildren, 131 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great- grandchildren. And as MOTHER OF HER CHURCH, many  church children , church families and friends.
