Funeral services for Amelia "Renee" Thomas White, 55, of Vidalia, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM, Mt. Pilgrim B.C., Vidalia, on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, with Pastor Christopher Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow at White Hall Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, Ferriday, LA.  Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4 to 6PM at the funeral home.

Our beloved Renee was such a bright light. A free spirit with an open heart, she lived life on her own terms, embracing each new chapter with fierce independence and so much laughter. As an avid member in her Chapters, she found passion in everything she was involved in and had a voice like an angel.  Her Chapters included Alpha Kappa Alpha and Fidelity Court #20 Herions of Jericho.  Also, her voice has been heard in so many places, including the choir of Amos Polk the Voices of Hope.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1970, Natchez, MS, the daughter of Earl Turner and Doris Thomas Polk.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Renee leaves to cherish her memories and much laughter, her husband, Charles White,Jr.; one daughter, Charnesia White; two brothers, Daryl Polk, all of Vidalia, LA, Gregory Jones, Natchez, MS; one aunt, Thelma Simpson,; two uncles, James Knight, his wife Melinda, Melvin Knight; four special family and friends, Wanda Jo Banks, Cathy Collins, Tonya Johnson, her husband, Allen, all of Vidalia, LA, Kimberly Simson, Ferriday, LA; a host of other family and friends.
