Funeral services for America Lee Dunbar, 61, of Ferriday, LA will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00am from Zion Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS with military honors. Visitation will be held Friday morning at 9:00am at the church until service time, along with Easter Star ceremonies. Rev. Leroy White will officiate.

Mrs. Dunbar, daughter of Grant and Ruth Keigler Dunbar, was born in Ferriday and died at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. She retired from the US Army with twenty two years of service and was a retired school bus driver for Concordia Parish School System. She was also a member of the Star of Love O. E. S. #61 of Vidalia and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Her survivors are: one son, Percy Dunbar; two sisters, Miranda Mays and her husband, Wilford, Sr. all of Ferriday; Alma K. Allen of New Orleans, LA; one grandchild, Delandruis Dunbar of Ferriday and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
