The celebration of life for Angel P. Hawkins, 41, of Ferriday, LA, will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Ferriday Junior High School gymnasium with Pastor Torrence Virgil officiating. The services are entrusted to Concordia Funeral Home.

Angel P. Hawkins was born June 24, 1978, Columbia, LA, the daughter of Ralph Peppers and Annie Louise Birdwell. She was a Supervisor at Durham School Services for Concordia Parish Schools and was the Worthy Matron of Jennie Tibbs Hagan #193 OES, PHA, Ferriday, LA.  Angel was a loving, generous, adventurous and a life loving woman.

Angel was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father; two brothers, Jerry Banes, Jimmy Peppers; one sister, Donna Peppers.

Her survivors include her mother; her husband, John Hawkins, Sr.; one son, Jabari Hawkins; one daughter, Jaila Hawkins, all of Ferriday, LA; two step-sons, Joshua Hawkins, (Qumeua) Dallas, TX, John Hawkins, Jr., Trenton, NJ; one step-daughter, Journey H. Collins (Mason), Pearland, TX; one sister, Misty Bratton (Bennie), Olla, LA; one step-sister, Becky Dyess (Kenny), Jena, LA; three brothers, Ben Banes (Renee), Olla, LA, Carl Banes (Della), Wayne Banes (Gwendella), both of Spearsville, LA; one aunt, Shirley Birdwell, Ferriday, LA; one uncle, Percy Birdwell, Jr. (Angie) Olla, LA; a special friend, Johnathan Glover, Opelousas, LA; a number of and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; a great niece and nephew.
