Funeral services for Anna Mae Jefferson, 71, of Houston, TX, formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00am from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wildsville, LA under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Pastor Robert Cook officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jefferson, daughter of Allen Orange and Josephine Lewis was born in Ferriday and died at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church and a retired cook.

Her survivors are:  three sons, Jesse Jefferson and his wife, Melissa of Phoenix, AZ; James Jefferson of Houston, TX; Cedrick Jefferson of Marrietta, GA; four daughters, Barbara Jefferson of Ferriday; JoAnn Jefferson of Detroit, MI; Sarah Jefferson and Tonya Johnson and her husband, Robert all of Kennesaw, GA.

Also five sisters, Sarah Madison and her husband, Sammie; Jessie White and Mary Tennessee all of Ferriday; Murray Lewis of Houston; twenty two grandchildren, thirty eight great-grandchildren,  a special niece and caregiver, Shawanda Lewis of Houston. And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
