Funeral services for Arthur Gross, 75, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:00am   from Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in   Waterproof, LA under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Consuerella Cemetery   on Lake St. John, Waterproof. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 6pm at the funeral home. Pastor Antonio Isaiah will officiate.

Mr.  Gross, son of Willie Jenkins and Gertrude Gross, was born in Ferriday and died at Merit Health Natchez in Natchez, MS. He was retired from the Caterpillar Tractor Company. Later he was employed with the Concordia Parish Sheriff Office in Vidalia, LA. He was also a member of St. John Baptist Church on Lake St. John.

He is survived by his siblings, Charles Groves of Peoria, IL; Jimmie Jenkins and his wife, Artmasue; Richard Jenkins and his wife, Amanda all of Monroe, LA; Vera Gross of Waterproof; Gladys Dixon of Baton Rouge, LA; Sylvia Jenkins McKinney and her husband Jonathan of Houston, TX; Mary Jenkins Whitmill of Kansas City, MO.

Also, two aunts, Rosie Turner of Waterproof   and Gladys Howard of Las Vegas, NV; one uncle, James Williams of California; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Mr. Gross in death are his parents, one brother, Willie James Jenkins, Jr. and two sisters, Betty Jenkins Smith and Deloris Lewis.
