Services for Augustine "Goody" Davis, 68, Ferriday, LA, who died Jan.26, 2015, at her residence, will be Thursday, Feb. 5,2015 at 11:00 AM from the New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Consurella Cemetery in Waterproof, LA.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ms. Davis was born May 26, 1946, in Ferriday, the daughter of George Smith and Dorothy Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Cole Davis.

Survivors includes one son, Michael (Lynette) Smith of Minneapolis, MN; one brother, Willie (Shirley) Davis of St. Joseph, LA; three sisters, Laura Davis, Julia Davis both of Ferriday; Jean Davis of Monroe, LA; six grandchildren, Shanice Wilson, Octavia Smith, Marcus Bryant all of Minneapolis; Jabariss Smith of Texarkana, TX; Jamie Davis of Natchez, MS, Greg Davis of Dallas, TX; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Davis of Natchez, MS; a special friend, Leonard "Shorty" Kelly of Ferriday, LA; two aunts, one uncle; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
