Funeral services honoring the life and legacy of Bessie Brown Ceasor, 91, of Ferriday, LA was held on August 1, 2026 at the Old Daughter Baptist Church in Wildsville, LA under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Burial follow at the church cemetery. Bishop Justin Conner officiated.

Mrs. Ceasor, daughter of Ike and Julia Beard Brown, was born om Wildsville and died at her residence. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, her family: one son, Herman Ceasor, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; two daughters, Virginia Ceasor and Kimberly Simpson both of Ferriday; one brother, Robert Earl Brown of Vidalia, LA; ten grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to one son-in-law, Johnny Kelly; 

Preceding Mrs. Ceasor are her parents, her husband, Herman Ceasor, Sr., one son, Larry E. Jackson, one daughter, Gwendolyn Ann Kelly; eight siblings, James Brown, Willie Brown, Ike Brown, Jr., Charles Brown, Cornett, Mattie Schiele, Annie Holly and Ida Jones.
