Services for Betty Jean Taylor, 77, of Ferriday, who died Jan. 4, 2020, at Riverland Medical Center will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday , January 18, 2020 at The Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday.Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be from 5 to 7PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Taylor was born Oct. 25, 1942, in Ferriday, the daughter of Willie Warner and Ruby Lee Collier. She was a retired dietician for Concordia Parish School System.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bernard Taylor and  Freddie Taylor; one brother, L.C. Luckett and  one sister, Johnnie Knapper.

Survivors include her five sons, Ronnie Taylor of  Fayetteville, NC;  George Taylor (Sharon) of  Philadelphia, PA; Daryle Taylor (Ruby) of  Ruston, LA;  Andrew Taylor of  Lake Charles, LA;  Wayne Taylor (Trenya) of  Ferriday, LA; two daughters, Annittie Peabody (Willie) of  Salem, AL;  Doris White of  Fayetteville, NC; three brothers, Morris Warner of  New Orleans, LA;  Gull Collier, Donald Warner both of Ferriday, LA; two sisters, Annie Warner of  West Columbia, TX; Rose Helen Hollis, New Orleans, LA; a special daughter like her own, Vernell Taylor, Waterproof, LA; a special daughter-in-law, Christine Taylor of  Wisner, LA; ; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren; a special Godmother, Marie Banks of Ferriday, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
