Funeral services for Billy Ray Whitley, 62, of Ferriday , LA will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00am from the St. Matthews Baptist Church on Lake St. John. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Whitley, son of Alfred and Onneal Mays Whitley was born in Ferriday and died at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. He was a deacon at St. Matthews and a retired bus driver.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Jackie Nell Williams; his children, William Whitley and his spouse, Shakieta; Jacqueline Whitley all of Ferriday; Joshua Whitley and his spouse Iesha of Lake Charles, LA; two brothers, Al Whitley of and Roosevelt Whitley; three sisters, Rosemary Flagg, Francis McKeel and Thelma Albi; four grandchildren; special niece and nephew, Donneal and Jimmy Whitley; and a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Whitley is preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Willie Whitley, Earnest Whitley, Joseph Whitley and Nancy Whitley.
