Services for Blue Woodruff, 93, of Ferriday, LA will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10:00am from St. Mary Baptist Church on Lake St. John, in Ferriday, LA. He will be interred at the Natchez National Cemetery beside his wife, Clara with military honors.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5 to 7PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Woodruff, son of Autney and Amelia Woods Woodruff, was born in Waterproof, Louisiana and died at the Columns Community Care Center in Jonesville, Louisiana. He was a retired pipeline worker. He served his country proudly during World War II for the United States Army earning an honorable discharge.

He is survived by a son, Melvin Woodruff and his wife, Breezy, of Lawton, OK; two step-children, James Bowman and his wife, Ethel of Ft Washington, Maryland; Ethel Bowman of Carrolton, TX; one sister-in-law, Queenie Woodruff of Ferriday; two grandchildren, Marcus Kennedy and his wife, Brittany, of Pineville, LA; Kenneth Bowman and his wife, Courtney of Carrollton, TX; and a number of niece, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Clara Lewis Woodruff and one stepdaughter, Sarah Bowman.
