Funeral services for Bobby Birdon Owens, 66, of Winnsboro, LA, who died at her residence on Jan. 26, 2017 are Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, 11:00 AM at Second Evening Star Baptist Church, 150 Cooper Road, Alexandria, LA with Rev. Phillip Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Alexandria Memorial Cemetery in Alexandria under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA.

Visitation will be Friday morning, Feb. 3, 2017 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the funeral home and Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.

Mrs. Owens was born August 9, 1950, Ferriday, LA, the daughter of Isaac and Alsena Richardson Birdon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Calvin D. Owens and a sister, Katie Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin Owens, Winnsboro; two daughters, Petrina Owens-Greenhouse (Newman) of Alexandria, LA and Bonita Y. Almore(Jessie) of Haughton, LA; a very special niece, Pat Schneider of Monroe, LA; one brother Rev. Willie Birdon(Evangelist Lillie) of Ferriday, LA; two sisters, Parker Calhoun(Isiah) of Alexandria; Bessie Chrishon of Arlington, TX; five grandchildren, Tenita, Koran, Jenia, Zavyon, Kalvin; four great-grandchildren, Kennedi, Kay'denn, Syire, Kaleb; and a host of nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends.
