Funeral services for Calvin Curtis Gilmore, Jr. , 64, of Ferriday, LA will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 . 11am

at the Kingdom Ministries, 203 Doty Road in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Pastor Charles Minor will officiate.  Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Gilmore, son of Calvin and Irene Tyler Gilmore, was born in New Orleans, LA and died at the Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA. He was employed as a chef at a casino in New Orleans, LA.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his step mother, Helen Tyson of New Orleans; one daughter, Tyisha Magee of Cypress, TX; four siblings, Terrance Gilmore of Atlanta, GA; Lora Ann Gilmore of Ferriday; Sharice Norman and Sharrin Charles and her husband, Joseph; his aunts, Johnette Jackson and her husband, Roosevelt; Hazel Tyler and Hattie Tyler all of New Orleans; Frances Tyler of Marietta, GA. Also a number of  nieces, nephews and cousins.
