Services for Lucille Wimberly, 85, of Natchez, MS will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:0am from Fourth Street Church of Christ at 29 Fourth Street in Natchez, MS. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at the church.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert Wimberly, Sr. on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:00am at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez. Minister Dwight Greene will officiate.

Mrs. Wimberly, daughter of Leroy Spize and Carrie Stewart was bon in Natchez and died at Adams County Nursing Home in Natchez. She was a beautician. She was a faithful member of Fourth Street Church of Christ. She served in many capacities including a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was well known for her "special greetings", three hugs.

She is survived by six sons, Larry Wimberly, Leroy Rydell Wimberly, Robert Wimberly, Donald Wimberly and Cordell Wimberly all of Natchez; Tommy Lee Wimberly of Bossier City, LA; one granddaughter she raised as her own, Angela Wright of San Diego, CA; thirteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; two cousins, Barbara Hoskins and Fern Stewart of Kalamazoo, MI and her church family at Fourth Street Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband; three children, Marshall Wimberly, Isaac Wimberly and Patricia Wimberly Rodgers.
