A private memorial service for Charles Lee Ellard, 77 of Monterey, LA will be announced at a later date.

He was  born in Jonesville, LA, the son of William Thomas and Dorothy Scroggs Ellard and died at his residence. Mr. Ellard was a retired oilfield worker and the overseer of the Ellard Cemetery in Monterey.

His survivors includes his wife, Shirley Carter Ellard; one son, Charles M. Ellard and his wife, Mechelle all of Monterey; three brothers, Earl Ellard of Ridgecrest, LA; Carl Ellard and his wife, Kathleen of West Monroe, LA; Cecil Ellard and his wife, Kitty o Ruston, LSA; sister-in-law, Ann Ellard of West Monroe, LA; six grandchildren, Heather Simpson and her husband, Lee; Chase Ellard all of Monterey; Chris Ellard and his wife, Kate of Seattle, WA; Raven Ellard and Kaitlyn Ellard of Gulfport, MS; Daniel Ellard and his wife, Amanda of Buras, LA; two step-grandchildren, Cody Pickering and Aaron Pickering both of Monterey.

Mr. Ellard is preceded in death by his parents and one brother , Travis Ellard.
