Funeral services for Chris Thomas, Sr., 68, of Ferriday, LA will be held Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00am from Rufus Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery with Rev. Michael Reed officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 5 to 5pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas, son of Chris Dean and Matilda Thomas was born in Natchez, MS and died at his residence. He was a security officer for a correctional facility.

He is survived by his wife, Pinkey Carter Thomas of Ferriday; four sons, Elbert McMorris and his wife, Duretha of Minnesota; Terry Blanton of Milwaukee, WI; Jerome Bradford and his wife, Quantina of Tallulah, LA; Chris Thomas, Jr. and his wife, Queenie of Houston, TX; four daughters, Cora Blanton Thomas of Memphis, TN; Carla Blanton of Milwaukee, WI; Danita Thomas of Houston, TX and Cassandra Norman of Atlanta, GA.

Also one sister, Bernice Smith of Natchez, MS and numerous grandchildren.

Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents.
