Services for Clarence Barber, 55, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00am from the Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Saint Matthews Church Cemetery on Lake St. John in Ferriday with Rev. R. B. Turner officiating.

Mr. Barber, son of James and Creola Jefferson Barber, was born in Ferriday and died at the Ochsner Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a heavy equipment operator for T. L. James Construction Company.

He is survived by his mother; seven sisters, Deloris Barber and Jennie Barber all of Ferriday; Gladys Welsh and her husband, Herbert; Frances Wilson and her husband, Henderson all of Marrero, LA; Ella Alexander and her husband, Jimmy L. of Columbus, SC; Leola Grant and her husband, Isaiah of Orlando, FL; Alice Barber of Hawthorne, CA; one brother, William Barber and his wife, Edna of Ferriday; six aunts and two uncles.

Also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
