Funeral services for CVleveland "Lil Bro" Henry Brown, sr., 91 of Waterproof, LA will be held May 5, 2018 from the Mrytle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof, LA with Rev. Adrian Lundy officiating. Burial will follow at the Mrytle Grove Cemetery in Waterproof.

Mr. Brown, son of Rosie Anderson and Hosea Brown was born in Waterproof and died at the Heritage Manor Health & Rehab Center in Ferriday, LA. He was a retired bus driver for Tensas Parish School System; an entrepreneur, owning a washateria , a grocery store and a night club. He had many  talents such as a butcher, bartender and a concrete finisher.  He was a member of the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church,  a member of the Pride of Waterproof Masonic Lodge #71 and  the Trailblazers Social Club. In his early years, he sang in a quartet. He also served in the US Army receiving an honorable discharge in 1945.

He is survived by his wife, Lula Levy Brown of Waterproof; six sons, Cleveland Brown Jr. (Deborah) of Los Angeles, CA; Jewel Brown (Angelica) of Little Rock, AR; Adrian Brown (Mary) of Waterproof; Arthur Hollinmon (Linda) of Columbs, GA; Adrian Jenkins (Sherrie); Paul Parker (Deidra) all of Arlington, TX; eight daughters, Lydia Battle (James); Carolyn Jessie (Carlton) all of Carson, CA; Delores Harrell (Robert) of Beaumont, TX; Janet Brown of Los Angeles, CA; Rosemary Evans of Chicago, IL; Grethen Williams (Kevin) of Zachary, LA; Tammy Hill (Odis) of Bastrop. LA; Paulette Seahorn (James) of Desoto, TX.

Also one brother, James Williams of Apple, CA; two sisters, Gladys Howard (Charles) of Las Vegas, NV; Rosie Turner (Archie) of Waterproof. And forty four grandchildren, forty four great-grandchildren and twenty five great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his parents.
