A memorial service for Clyde Atkins, 65, of Ferriday, LA will be announced later by Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Mr. Atkins, son of Edward and Lubertha Morris Atkins was born in Ferriday and died at his residence. He was a landscaper.

He is survived by three children, Mister Atkins and Adam Atkins both of Texas; Olivia Atkins of Vicksburg, MS; five brothers, Albert Atkins and his wife Gwen; Joe Louis Atkins, Edward Atkins, Jr., Edward Charles Atkins, Sam Dunbar all of Ferriday; three sisters, Mildred Carter and her husband, Joe of Ferriday; Ernestine Campbell of Houston, TX; Shirley Britton of Winfield, LA; four grandchildren, Esme Jones of Hattiesburg, MS; Amelia Major of Vicksburg, MS; Morgan M. Atkins and Malik Clyde Atkins both of Houston, TX; one great-grandchild, Greyson Jones of Vicksburg.

Preceding Mr. Atkins in death are his parents; three brothers, A. D. Atkins, David Atkins and Wilbert Atkins; two sisters, Thelma Jean White and Birda Atkins.
