Funeral services for Cynthia Hawkins, 58, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11am from Springfield Baptist Church on Hwy 566 in Waterproof (Tensas Parish), LA.  under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Loamland Cemetery in Waterproof. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Minister Gregory Boxley will officiate.

Mrs. Hawkins, daughter of James and Norvell Lloyd Hawkins, was born in Waterproof and died at the Heritage Manor Health & Rehab Nursing Home in Ferriday. She was a Tutor for public school system.

She is survived by her two daughters, Bettina Hawkins of Baton Rouge, LA and Sabrina Hawkins of Clayton, LA; her siblings, Linda Hawkins and James Hawkins, Jr. both of Clayton; Davallan Hawkins of Pascagoula, MS; five grandchildren. Also aunts, Verna Lloyd of New Orleans; Lula Hawkins of Baton Rouge, LA; Debra Lloyd, Loulla Hawkins and Carrie Hawkins all of Houston, TX. Preceding Mrs. Hawkins in death are her parents; aunts, Claudia Hawkins, Sammie Lloyd Jarmon, Rosie L. Williams; uncles, Tony Lloyd, Roy Parker, Joe Hawkins, Eli Hawkins, III  and Tony Lloyd.
