Funeral services for Cyrus J. Green, Jr., 65, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00am from the Zion Hill Baptist Church, 2222 Hwy 65, Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow with military honors at the church cemetery with Pastor Don Lucus, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Green, son of Viola Davis Green and the late Cyrus Green, Sr. was born in Ferriday and died at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. He was a construction worker.  He  earned an honorable discharge from the US Army after serving his country for two years and four months.

He is survived by his mother; four brothers, Archie Davis and his wife,  Barbara; Richard L. Green and his wife, Rhonda all of Ferriday; Floyd Green and his wife, Andrea; Kelvin Lee Green and his wife, Pamela all of Powder Springs, GA; three sisters, Dorothy D. Brown and her husband Midget; Rose Green all of Ferriday; Janice Brown of Champaign, IL; a niece that was raised as a sister, Sandra Johnson also of Champaign, IL.

Also nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one aunt, Betty Addison of Jena, LA; two god children, Ja'Laila Mays and Aniyah Tuesno both of Ferriday.

Mr. Green is preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Joycelyn Green Heard; one sister, Mercy D. Green.
