Funeral services for Debra Wilson - Mayes, 59, of Ferriday, LA, who passed peacefully with family at her beside on Jan. 21, 2025, will be 10:00AM, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at New Morning Star BC, Ferriday, LA, with Pastor Danny Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Visitation will be on Saturday, from 9:00 AM until service time  at the church.

Mrs.  Wilson-Mayes was born on Dec. 17, 1965 in Ferriday,  the daughter of Floyd and Willie Mae Wright Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Deville Murphy, Jr. and one brother, Lawrence Wilson.

Leaving to cherish her loving memories are her husband, Jerry L.  Mayes of Ferriday; two sons, Gary Mayes, his wife  Ariyouna of  Addis, LA; Jerry D. Mayes and  his wife Brea Pillette of Vacharie, LA; two sisters, Ulandia Jefferson and  Cora Lewis both of Ferriday, LA; fourteen grandchildren; three good friends, Jackie Keigler and  Valerie Brown both of Ferriday, Rhonda of Natchez, MS; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
