Funeral services for Don Terry Powell, 64, of Clayton, LA, will  be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton, LA under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of. Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at St. Mary Baptist Church Cemetery on Lake St. John, Ferriday, LA. Pastor Don Lucas will officiate.

Mr. Powell, son of Ledger Powell, Jr. and Lizzie O'Neal Powell, was born in Ferriday and died at his residence in Clayton. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his siblings: Jessie Hawkins and his wife, Cora of Antioch, CA; Arthur Powell and his wife, Martha; Abdul Sabir and his wife, Wajeedah; Ullman Powell and his wife, Rhonda; and Brenda Powell all of Clayton.

Also two aunts, Willie Montgomery and Mildred Davis both of Ferriday. In addition, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding him in death are his parents; four siblings: Kareen Sabir, Ledger Powell, III, Johnnie Powell and Juanita Powell.
