Services for Dorothy Dennis, 55, of Woodville, MS, will be Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Doloroso, MS. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill cemetery with Rev. Reginald Jackson officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5PM, Friday, at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born on July 1, 1959, Natchez, MS, the daughter of Mose Jr. and Edna Prater Dennis and died at the East Jefferson Hospital in Metairie, LA.

Survivors include her daughters, Keyorka Dennis of Metairie; Krista Dennis of Kenner, LA; Lashonda Thomas (Randy),she raised as her own daughter of Centreville, MS; four brothers, Willie Dennis of Natchez, MS,; Larry Dennis (Michelle) of Cheasepeake, VA; Johnson Dennis, Mose Dennis, Ricky Jackson (Sandra), Rev. Reginald Jackson, all of Woodville; three sisters, Jacqueline McKinsey (Robert); Sandra Dennis, both of Baton Rouge, LA, Ethel Dennis (Ronnie) of Woodville; three grandchildren, Kadria Mattire and Bryan Preston, Jr., both of Metarie, LA, Kedric Taylor of Kenner, LA; a Goddaughter, Flotrica Dunbar of Philadelphia, MS; a life long friend, Dave Henyard of Woodville; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
