Funeral services for Earl Jefferson, 54, of Clayton, LA were held October 26, 2018 at St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore, LA with burial following at the church cemetery.

Mr. Jefferson, son of Andrew and Daisy Townsend Jefferson was born in Frogmore and died at Merit Health Natchez Hospital in Natchez, MS. He was a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Rice Jefferson of Clayton; one son, Earl Rice and his wife, Renata of Ferriday; two daughters, Brittany Rice of Clayton and Courtney Crumb of Alexandria, LA; two brothers, Melvin Jefferson of Clayton and Ricky Jefferson and his wife, Marilyn of Ferriday; two sisters, Marilyn Jefferson and her husband, Donald of Ferriday and Flora Holmes and her husband, Houston of Clayton.

Also four grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his father, one brother, Andrew Jefferson and one sister, Virginia Jefferson.
