Funeral service for Edward Darnell Cubie, 63, of Vidalia, LA will be held February 6, 2017 at 10:00am from Union Baptist Church in Vidalia. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Cubie, son of Elvira Cubie was born in Natchez and died at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab in Ferriday, LA. He was an Air Force Veteran during the Viet Nam War and retiree from the U. S. Corp of Engineers.

He is preceded in death by his mother; his wife, Paula Williams Cubie and a brother, Clarence Cubie.

His survivors are two daughters, Shelia Dye and her husband Andrew; Kwanza Cubie all of Vidalia; step daughter, Sherian Minor of Michigan; two brothers, Walter Cubie and his wife, Denise of Jackson, MS; Kyle Cubie; three sisters, Margret Mays and Ruth Singleton all of Vidalia; Mary Stanton of Natchez, MS one god-son, Nicholas Kennedy of Kenner, LA; raised as his brothers, Melvin Knight and James Knight and his wife, Melinda all of Vidalia; his grandchildren, Freddie Mango, Jr., Sha'Niya and Kaleb Dye; Nolan Cubie all of Vidalia. And a number of other relatives and friends.
