Funeral services for Elbert White, 65, of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:30am from Triumph Baptist Church in Vidalia. Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery with Rev. Douglas Logan officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA.

Mr. White, the youngest son of Dan White, Sr. and Margie Chatman White was born in Natchez, MS and died at Merit Health Natchez. He was retired from the Concordia Parish Sheriff Office with twenty two years of service; also a graduate Vidalia High School and Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.

He is survived by one sister, Deirdra W. Arrington and her husband, Rickie of Vidalia; sisters-in-law, Vergie White, Marilyn K. White, Gladys White and Earline White; one aunt, Shirley Chatman and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. White is preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings, Dorothy White, Hattie B. White, Irene White, Orma Jean James, Cora White Dixon, Dan White, Jr., James Henry White, Leonard White, Willie White.
