Funeral services for Elidee "Miss DeeDee" Lewis, 108, of Ferriday, LA will be held May 10, 2014 at 11:00am from the Hwy 15 Community Center in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery in Natchez, MS with Rev. Eugene Williams officiating.

Miss DeeDee was born in Frogmore, LA to the parentage of Theodore and Jennie Chatman Johnson and died at Camelot Leisure Living Home in Ferriday. She was the oldest citizen in Concordia Parish. She was a talented dressmaker for many years and could look at a garment then make it without a pattern.

She is survived by her only child, Shelvey Dunkley and his wife, Joy; one sister, Jessie Mae Johnson all of Ferriday; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a great number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; the patients and staff at Camelot Leisure Living and her many friends throughout Concordia Parish.
