ELIJAH BAILEY, JR.

Elijah Bailey, Jr., was born on October 14, 1939 to Elijah Bailey, Sr. and Alice Harness. He passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the age of 83 in his hometown of Waterproof, LA.

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Brenda Bailey Robins (Claude)of San Leandro, CA; Linda Bailey of Houston, TX; Zamora Bailey Hickey (Kevin) of Katy,  TX; Nicole Bailey of Kansas City, MO; James McFarland (Joan) of Monroe, LA; Rhoda Anderson of Atlanta, GA; Stephanie Daniels (Johnny) of Allen, TX;  stepdaughter, Torre Brown Ramirez (Manuel) of Huntsville, AL; one aunt, Dorothy Spain of New York; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Concordia Funeral Home, 609 Alabama Ave., Ferriday, LA and the Homegoing services on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00am at the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof. Interment will follow at the Good Samaritan Cemetery in Waterproof.
