Funeral services for Eliza Cage. 80, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 1:00pm from the Living Word Worship Center, 8 Covington Road, Natchez, MS  under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery in Ferriday. Pastor Dwight Greene will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home and again on Saturday morning from 9 to service time at the church.

Eliza Cage, daughter of Eddie and Sylvia Carter Cage, was born in Vidalia, LA and died at her residence. She was retired from Concordia Parish School System   as a custodian and a faithful   member of Living Word Worship Center. Being a dedicated servant of the Lord, she was always willing and ready to serve. She served as a Children Church teacher; food committee, bereavement committee, church decoration committee, and any other area that needed her help. She was also a member of the Concordia Parish Parents Volunteer Organization.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her family: one brother, Arthur Cage and his wife, Arlene of Pensacola, FL; two sisters, Cindy Washington and her husband, Al of Melbourne, FL and Willenetta Taylor of Albany, GA; two daughters-in-law, Tarve Smith Cage of Vidalia and Vanessa Rutland Cage of Dallas, TX; a dear friend, Tressie F. Thomas of Ferriday. In addition to a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her church family at Living Word Worship Center.

Preceding in death are her parents, her three sons, Clifford Wright, Renard "Scottie" and Myron "Kenny" Cage; her siblings, Israel, Abner, Abraham, Pearl, Willie, William, Eddie Jr., Charles Cage, Ellen Hawkins, Elizabeth Hawkins, Bertha Jones, Regina Turner
