Graveside services for Elvis Lee Hawkins, 65, of Ferriday, LA will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 12:30om from the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Mr. Hawkins, son of the late Johnny and Janie Davis Hawkins, was born in Ferriday and died at his residence. He served in the US Army for seven years, earning an honorable discharge for his service to his country. He was also a carpenter.

He is survived by two daughters, Tawatha Goings of Baker, LA and Vonshae Davis of Baton Rouge, LA; two  brothers, Ernest Hawkins of Bedford, OH and Pastor James Hawkins of Colorado Springs, CO; four sisters, Ernestine Brown of Solan, OH; Inez DeLoach of Bedford, OH; Angeline Quinn of Warrenville Heights, OH and Loria Hawkins of Garfield Heights, OH.

In addition to the mother of his child, Ruthie L. Goings Hawkins of Ferriday; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Drucilla Jefferson; two brothers, Roosevelt Hawkins and Johnny Hawkins,  Jr.; two sisters, Mattie Hawkins and Jaunita Dougan.
