Funeral services for Mr. Elzee Williams, 98, of Saint Joseph, Louisiana will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 12 noon from the Tensas High School, 720 Plank Road, Saint Joseph, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00am to service time at the school. Burial will follow at the Panola Cemetery in Saint Joseph.

Military honors will be performed immediately after the funeral services at the school. Rev. Adrian Lundy and Pastor Lethaniel Smith will officiate.

Mr. Williams, son of the late Levi and Ernestine Davis Williams was born in Saint Joseph and died at his daughter's residence in Chicago. He was a retired farmer and a WWII veteran of the US Army, having served from May 5, 1942 to January 9, 1946, earning an honorable discharge from the military. He was awarded a Bronze Medal for his services.

He is survived by his children, Kent Williams and his wife Gunga; Arland Roberts; Bumbie Williams and her husband Ernest; Yazoo Hall and her husband Jerald all of Chicago.

Also ten grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives; his caregiver, Mrs. Jessie Scales and a devoted niece, Mary "Wee" Gross.
