Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Lee Brown, 90, of Kenner, LA formerly of Waterproof, LA will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11:00am from Cypress Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof. Burial will follow at the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Waterproof with Rev. Gerald Williams officiating. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00am until service time at the church.

Mrs. Brown, daughter of Ed and Savanna Derris Carter was born in Waterproof and died at the Chateau Living Center in Kenner. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Brown, her parents and one son, Thomas Carter.

Her family left to cherish her memories: one son, Willie Carter and his wife, Joann of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Valerie Taylor of St. Rose, LA and Patricia Richard and her husband, Willie of North Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Also a special niece and nephew, Anna Brown and David Williams both of Waterproof.
