A memorial service for Ernest P. Champion, Jr., 65, of Ridgecrest, LA, who passed on Feb. 17, 2025 at his residence with his loving family at his bedside will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at The Exchange in Pearl, MS.  Matthew Stevens will officiate.

Mr. Champion, born on Sept. 24, 1959, the son of Ernest P. Champion, Sr. and Vaudine Sanford Champion, was born in Greenville, MS. He was a retired painter and of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father and one son, William Champion.

He is survived by his mother, Vaudine Sanford Champion of Pearl, MS; his wife, Tammy Ferrington Champion of Ferriday; three daughters, Dallas Pirman and her husband, Ryan of  Terry, MS; April Wicker and her husband Chris; Sarah Fisher; four sisters, Cindy Malone and her husband, Boyd; Kay Caldwell; Dianna Robertson and her husband, Brad; Teresa Ballard and her husband, Brian all of Pearl, MS; five grandchildren, MacKenzie Fisher, Daniel Wicker, Michael Wicker all of Pearl, MS; Allie Pirman and Addison Pirman both of Terry, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; and, his beloved canine companion "Stella".
