Services for Ethel Brown, 67 , of Vidalia, LA, who died, June 13, 2019, at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in  Houston, TX, will be  at 11:00 AM Friday at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Vidalia, with the Rev. Raymond Riley officiating. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 7, 1952 in Ferriday, the daughter of Thomas and Idella Birden Melancon. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Brown of Vidalia; one son, Willie Smith of  Houston, TX; one daughter, Seletia Evans,(Floyd White) of Houston, TX; one brother, Donald Melancon and  his wife Debra of Katy, TX; three grandchildren, Destiny Smith and  Jailyn Smith, both of Ferriday and  Ashton Price of Houston, TX; one uncle, Milton Melancon of  Ferriday, LA; and a host of other family and friends.
