Funeral services for Ethel Green Lucas, 87, of Sacramento, CA, formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00am from the Fourth Street Church of Christ in Natchez, MS. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez with Minister Dwight Greene officiating.

Mrs. Lucas, departed her earthly body and ascended to everlasting love and life on May 26, 2014 at the Kaiser Permante Hospital in Sacramento, CA. She was Heaven's angel amongst us, spreading kindness, compassion and love to her family and friends. Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Susie Green; her husband, Robert Lucas, Jr., four children, James Lucas, Robert C. Lucas, Ernest Lucas and Lois Lucas; four siblings, Ernestine Green, Arthur Green, Rosemary G. Singleton and Leon Green.

She is survived by six sons, Alvin Lucas, Carl Lucas, Don Lucas, Darrell Lucas, Wilbert Lucas and Makini Enakaya; two daughters, Rita Lucas and Tanya Green Anderson; seven siblings, Hazel Loman, Doretha Woodfork, Wendell Greene, Sr., Wilbert Greene, Jimmie Green, Clifford Green and Joyce Chocklet.

Also eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Ethel was a former school teacher at the Dunbarton School in Dunbarton, LA; a former Head Start Director in Henderson, NV; a Sunday School teacher at Fourth Street Church of Christ.
