Funeral services for Fannie "Denise" Smith, 58, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00am from Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Schiele officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, daughter of Mary Harrison Melancon was born in Newport News, VA and died at her residence on Ferriday. She was of the Catholic faith and owned a retail clothing store.

Her survivors are her husband, Clarence Smith; one son, Alex Harrison; one adopted daughter, De'India Smith; grandchildren, Alexis Harrison and Aleya Rose Sheppard all of Ferriday; three aunts, Athelia Bishop, Honermiss Gorham and Lolita Tucker all of Newport News, VA .

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Harrison Melancon and her stepfather, Alex Melancon.
