Funeral services for Mrs. Freda P. Jenkins, 80, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00am from Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez, MS. Bishop Justin Conner will officiate. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA.

Mrs. Jenkins, daughter of Greene and Daisy Woodard Pannell was born in Ferriday and died at her residence. She was a retired secretary for Concordia Parish Special Education. She was also the church secretary for Mercy Seat Baptist Church.

Her survivors include: her husband, Sylvester Jenkins of Ferriday; one Son, Duane Jenkins of Baton Rouge, LA; two daughters, Sheri L. Jenkins of Chicago, IL and Shaun Jenkins Young of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Leon Pannell and his wife, Carolyn; Gerald Pannell and his wife, Valerie; three sisters, Barbara Pannell, Vanessa Pannell Smith and her husband, Peter; Wanda Gray and her husband, Kerry all of New Orleans, LA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Jenkins is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Devon Jenkins and a number of siblings.
