Funeral services for Fredrick James Montgomery, 60, of New Orleans, LA formerly of Waterproof, LA will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00am from Concordia Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Waterproof with Rev. Leroy Brown officiating.

Mr. Montgomery, son of Willie and Ruthie Lee Johnson Montgomery was born in Natchez, MS and died at his residence in New Orleans. He was an auto mechanic.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 to 7PM at the funeral home.

He is survived by six brothers, Alonzo Montgomery and his wife, of New Orleans; Willie Montgomery, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Louisville, KY; Edward Charles Montgomery of Waterproof; Joseph Don Montgomery and his wife, Josephine of Marksville, LA; Amos Montgomery of Ferriday; Shelby Montgomery of Tennessee; six sisters, Betty M. Davis of Monroe, LA; Ernestine Bellard and her husband, Andrew of Opelousas, LA; Merle Honeywood of St. Joseph, LA; Celia R. Montgomery of Conyers, GA; Mary A. Montgomery of New Orleans; Delores Montgomery of Oklahoma City, OK; one aunt, Helen Watson and her husband, Morgan of Baker, LA; one uncle, Cornell Johnson and his wife, Dorothy, of Gilbert, LA; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Montgomery is preceded in death by his parents.
