Funeral services for Gary C. Willis, Sr., 62, of Bude, MS formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00am from the Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery . Pastor Danny Lewis will officiate.  Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Willis, son of Charles Hankston and Sally Willis was born in Pineville, LA and died at his residence in Bude, MS. He was employed at the lumber mill as a machinist.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Gary Jr., and Stasha Willis, Demarcus Mitchell, Sr. all of Ferriday; his siblings, Jeffery Willis of Houston, TX; Don Willis (Maxine) and Janet Willis all  of Ferriday; Catherine Hatten (Howard) of Jonesville, LA; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relative and friends.

Preceding Mr. Willis in death are his parents, three brothers, Keith Willis, Clarence Hankston and Charles Johnson; two sisters, Betty Hankston and Arleen Johnson.
