Funeral services for Geneva Mays Bass, 80, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00am from Zion Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Rev. Robert Cook will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home and again Saturday morning from 9am to service time at the church.

Mrs. Bass, daughter of Dan Mays Jr. and Alberta McGraw Mays was born in Forest, LA and died at her residence. She was a retired Certified Nurse's Aide for many years.

She is survived by three sons, Roosevelt Bass, Jr. and Royce "Rydell" R. Mays both of Ferriday; Kendrick L. Mays of Fort Worth, TX; two daughters, Mary Coleman of Ferriday and Cassandra G. Bass of Fort Worth, TX; one sister, Johnnie M. Robinson of Baker, LA; three brothers, Renard Chatman and his wife, Catherine of Vidalia, LA; Edward Bowser and his wife, Clara of Columbia, MS; Bobby Bowser of Ferriday; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; one aunt, Rosie Hagans of Ferriday.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roosevelt Bass, Sr. ; son-in-law, Dawayne Coleman.
