Funeral serives for Genevie Wheeler, 84, of Los Angeles, CA formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00am from St. Mary Baptist Church on Lake St. John in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wheeler, daughter of Lee Henry Moungle and Wloise Bruin Wheeler was born in Ferriday and died at her residence. She was a hairdresser.

She is survived by three sons, Ralph Moungle and his wife Katheryne of McKinney, TX; Ronnie Morgan and Willie Wheeler, Jr. of New Orleans, LA; one daughter, Bonnie Brown of Los Angeles; two brothers, Oliver Henderson and his wife, Mattie; Wilmo Gant all of Chicago, IL; one sister, Azelena Williams of LeMoore, CA; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is precded in death by her husband, Willie Wheeler.
