Funeral services for George Edward Garrison, 71, of Birmingham, AL formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 at 10:00am from St. Stephens Baptist Church in Vidalia, LA under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery with Pastor Freddie Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Garrison, son of May Garrison was born in Natchez, MS and died at his daughter's residence in Birmingham. He was retired from the United State Postal Service as a janitor.

He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Garrison of Birmingham and Veronica Steverson and her husband, Robert of Nashville, TN; Viola Robinson of Dallas, TX and Annette Garrison of Ferriday. And a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in  death is his mother, his son, Fred Hagans and his sister, Hattie Mae Garrison.
