Funeral services for George Williams, 88, of Clayton, LA will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00am from the Harvest Baptist Church, 305 Lake Drive., Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10am to service time at the church. Burial will follow at the Maitland Cemetery in Foules, LA with Pastor Charles Chandler officiating.

Mr. Williams, son of Rowan and Anmy Wade Williams was born in St. Joseph, LA and died at his residence. He was a retired longshoreman on the riverfront in New Orleans, LA.

He is survived by four daughters, Janice Williams Turner and her husband Leamon of Clayton; Georgette W. Ross, Tanya Singleton and Lorena Williams all of New Orleans; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Mr. is preceded in death by his parents, three sons, George, Darryl and Kimball Williams; seven siblings, Rowan Williams, Jr., Nathaniel Williams, Harrison Williams, Maude W. Wells, Rose Alice Washington, Patricia Ann Williams and Amie Williams.
