A Homegoing Celebration for Gloria Jean Buford,74, resident of Ferriday, LA, who passed peacefully at her residence on June 23, 2021, will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at The Harvest B.C. with Pastor Charles Chandler officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Zion B.C. cemetery, Wildsville, LA, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 6PM at the funeral home.

Gloria Jean Buford was born Dec. 22, 1946, Ferriday, the daughter of Jimmie Buford and Susana Collins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her lifetime mate, Melvin Cooper; two sisters, Etheldria Buford, Delcia Buford.

She is survived by two sons, Gregg Burford of Ferriday, LA, Christopher Buford, his wife Krishna of Pearland, TX;

five grandchildren, Cymphonia Buford of Tampa, FL, Chancellor Buford, Kreston Buford, Kamilie Buford, Caleb Buford, all of Pearland, TX; four sisters, Shirley Buford, Mildred Banks, Carolyn Buford, Clote Smith; a number of aunts & uncles; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
