Funeral services for Gloria Jean Townsend, 68, of Ferriday, LA, who passed at her residence Feb. 18, 2021, will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 at Concordia Funeral Home.

Viewing will be from 9 until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Gloria Townsend was born Mar. 3, 1952, Ferriday, LA, the daughter of Percy and Alma Jones Townsend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, LeAndre Townsend; two brothers, Phillip Townsend, Larry Townsend; two sisters, Geraldine Harris, Estelle Glasper.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories; one son, Richard Townsend (Linda), Ferriday, LA; three daughters, Alma T. Braggs (Alton), LaPlace, LA, Yolanda T. Bryant, Marietta, GA, Kimberly Townsend, Ferriday, LA; two brothers, Willie Townsend, Kansas City, KS, Aaron Jones, Warren, OH; one sister, Alma Cooper (Albert), Ferriday; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
